What’s holding you back?

Sometimes we have no choice but to do things that pushes us out of our comfort zone. Be it speaking in front of an audience, playing sports, or cooking the perfect dinner, we all have to undertake activities that makes us nervous.

Sometimes it turns out great—you sing for the first time at a karaoke bar and everyone loves you, and sometimes it turns out terribly—you sing for the first time at a wedding reception and everyone just wishes they could shut their ears.

But often we do not have the luxury of choosing the perfect moment to shine.

We are faced with a difficult choice: To take the plunge or let the opportunity pass us by.

You might feel good about yourself, more confident because you have succeeded at something that had intimidated you thus far. You might feel embarrassed by how you acted or you might feel the need to cry. Whatever the emotion, it is not that of indifference.

What if I told you don’t have to rely on fate and pray for mercy on yourself when faced with such a situation?

What if I say that you can excel in absolutely anything?

What if I assure you that you can do everything you set you mind to?

You’d probably tell me I’m delusional and to stop saying stuff that is not true.

But it is true.

You have an incredible amount of potential. Believe me, it’s huge. It’s so enormous that even you’re afraid to acknowledge it.

So if an opportunity arises, and the timing is terrible and you feel like you’d screw it all up if you tried, trust yourself and try anyway.

You may not succeed but it is hardly the worst outcome. The worst thing that can happen is giving up without a fight.

Just know that you are stronger than you think. You got this.
